Overview
Woodward 8273 – 140 belongs to the 2301D series and is a digital controller for industrial equipment. It can be applied in various scenarios to precisely control and monitor the operation of the equipment.
Working Principle
Based on digital microprocessor technology, it receives signals from various sensors, such as speed, pressure, temperature, etc. After processing these signals using the internally preset control algorithms, it outputs corresponding control signals to adjust the operating state of the equipment, ensuring stable and efficient operation. For example, in a generator set, it can adjust the engine speed in real – time according to the load change to ensure the stability of the output voltage and frequency.
Technical Parameters
- Electrical Parameters: The general operating voltage is 24V DC.
- Input and Output Parameters
- Input Signal Types: It supports various types of input signals, such as analog inputs (e.g., 0 – 10V, 4 – 20mA, etc.) to receive physical quantity signals measured by sensors, and digital inputs to receive switch states, pulse signals, etc.
- Output Signal Types: It provides analog outputs (e.g., 4 – 20mA) to control the actions of actuators, and digital outputs (e.g., relay contact outputs) to control the on – off of switching devices.
- Environmental Parameters: The operating temperature range is generally from – 40°C to + 70°C, and the humidity range is usually from 5% to 95% without condensation.
Functional Features
- Precise Control: It can achieve precise control of equipment parameters such as speed and load, with a control accuracy of up to ± 0.1% or higher.
- Multiple Control Modes: It has multiple control modes such as speed control and load sharing to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
- Communication Function: It supports communication protocols such as Modbus, facilitating data interaction and integration with other devices or systems.
- Fault Diagnosis and Protection: It has a self – diagnostic function, which can monitor its own working status in real – time. When a fault is detected, it can send an alarm signal in a timely manner and take corresponding protective measures, such as cutting off the output, reducing power, etc., to prevent equipment damage.
Installation and Maintenance
- Installation Method: It usually adopts DIN – rail installation or panel – mounting methods, which are convenient and easy to arrange in the control cabinet.
- Maintenance Points: Regularly check the appearance of the equipment for damage, whether the connections are loose, clean the dust on the equipment surface, and check whether the software version needs to be updated, etc.
