IS420UCSCH1A – F.V0.1 – A is a quad-core controller in the Mark VIe series produced by General Electric (GE) Company. The following are some of its parameters and features:
- Communication Interface: There are two integrated serial ports, each of which can be set as RS232/RS485; it supports communication with the UDH network, and a 4GB flash drive needs to be configured using the ToolboxST application program.
- Display and Operation: It is equipped with a display screen and 8 function keys for diagnostic and status display.
- Expansion Capability: The CPU can centrally expand up to 10 local input/output expansion modules; in addition to the integrated communication port for each CPU, up to 4 different communication processors can be expanded simultaneously at most to run in any combination; the optional SD card is used for data storage and program backup.
- Control Function: It supports data collection and processing, process control (multi-loop control, sequential control, batch processing control, optimal control, etc.).
- Programming Languages: It supports a variety of control languages such as function codes, C language, Basic Batch90, Ladder, etc., supports Harmony Block and Rack I/O systems, and provides a new high-fault-tolerant redundant interface Hner for Block.
- Other Features: It can achieve one-to-one redundancy and peer-to-peer communication, is compatible with existing processors, can be configured online, and only occupies a single slot.
In addition, this controller uses the QNX Neutrino operating system and has the ability to run a highly reliable and high-speed operating system. It also uses EFA (Embedded Field Agent) technology to provide real-time data by stably connecting to Predix cloud-based applications. However, it does not have the ability to host any application I/O. When in a redundant group, all additional I/O network connections can be connected to each controller in the redundant group, providing it with input data.
