DSQC1030 is a digital I/O module launched by ABB. It uses the Ethernet/IP protocol, replacing the old DSQC652 module. This module has 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, and can be combined with up to four additional devices.
In terms of hardware connection, X1 is the digital output terminal, X2 is the digital input terminal, and 1~16 correspond to digital input/output respectively. The X3 port is located below the module as an expansion network port. The X4 port is the device power interface, which is connected by default from the built-in 24V power supply of the industrial robot. Under normal circumstances, no changes are needed. The X5 network port is located at the bottom of the module and is connected to the controller X4 LAN2 network port for communication between DSQC1030 and the controller.
There are two methods for I/O configuration. The first method is that when the industrial robot is turned on, the teaching pendant will generally pop up a prompt window, and click on the configuration according to the prompted steps to complete the I/O configuration. After completing the configuration, prompt whether to restart the system. After the restart is completed, all signals visible in the configuration will be automatically assigned. The second method is to configure – I/O Ethernet/IP through the control panel, click Add, select ABB LOCAL I/O, then change the address to 192.168.125.100, and then add IO, just like the previously created IO signal, DO1 ground 0, DO2 address 1, and so on, DO16 address 15, DI is the same.
