Hardware Composition: The PM891 processor is a single-chip unit equipped with a power supply, a CPU board, and a unit terminal. The device contains a microprocessor, RAM memory, a real-time clock, LED indicators, an INIT button, and a secure digital interface.
Communication Ports: There are two RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2) for connecting to the control network and one RJ45 serial port (COM4). The COM4 port is isolated and is used for configuration tools.
Redundancy Support: CPU redundancy is supported to improve availability (CPU, CEX – Bus, communication interfaces, and S800 I/O).
Bus Functions: The CEX – Bus is used to expand the onboard communication ports through the communication interface unit expansion board; the optical module bus can be used to connect seven groups of S800 I/O units (each unit contains up to 12 units at most).
Degree of Protection: With an IP20 protection level, no enclosure is required.
